Hello, world! Paterson Education Fund’s Irene Sterling and Rosie Grant aim to keep you up to date on education issues in Paterson, in our state and around our world. And we hope to hear from you as we go.

What is your burning education question? Will Paterson ever return to local control?  Will there be more charter schools in Paterson? Is our graduation rate improving?  How will changing “No Child Left Behind” affect our schools? Will Paterson schools serve halal food?  How do you get help with a problem at your school? What is your question? We’d love to discuss it with you.

We intend to post at least once a week, sometimes twice if we have emerging issues. For example, next week Tuesday, we’ll post about the return to local control. Do you know that it has been 19 years since the State of New Jersey took over the Paterson Public Schools?

We were there then and we’ll be here soon to tell you about it.

Irene and Rosie
